As Roger Federer was on the threshold of defeat at Wimbledon yesterday this comment was made on the TV commentary:
” It is no longer about serves, forehands and backhands but about what is going on in the head.”
All the tools and techniques can only get you so far. It is what goes on in the head that makes the difference.
It is just as important in business. Knowing all the moves to make is not the same as having the instincts, the motivation and the drive.
In business we don’t have to be physically superfit to be successful, but we still need to have the right stuff going on in the head. The right spark.
